Signs of spring were everywhere as visitors enjoyed the annual Historic Garden Week tour in Old Town on Saturday, April 17. Ticket sales were limited due to COVID-19 restrictions and the tour, hosted by the Garden Club of Alexandria and Hunting Creek Garden Club, sold out quickly.
The garden clubs creatively planned an outside tour designed to keep visitors safe while viewing beautiful wreaths and floral displays on exteriors of homes and gardens along the tour route. The displays included stunning tablescapes in the Lee-Fendall House garden, with themes ranging from “Pop Sugar Picnic” to “Ladies who Lunch”. Sunny springtime weather made it the perfect day to be in Old Town.
