The Waypoint at Fairlington
Construction has officially started on the The Waypoint at Fairlington.
Thursday, Fairlington Presbyterian Church hosted a groundbreaking ceremony for the project, which will include about 80 affordable housing units next to Fairlington Presbyterian Church.
The church has partnered with Wesley Housing and the City of Alexandria to build affordable housing on the church property.
The Waypoint at Fairlington will feature efficiency units, one-bedroom, two-bedroom and three-bedroom apartments. Several of the apartments will be ADA accessible.
The apartments will serve people whose income is 30 percent to 60 percent of the Area Median Income. Residents will also have free wifi, a community center and more.
Construction should be complete sometime 2022.
