SFDC to Host Beautification Awards
Three properties will receive the Mary Thonen Beautification Award.

Southeast Fairfax Development Corporation (SFDC) is delighted to announce the celebration of the 18th annual Mary Thonen Beautification Awards on Wednesday, Oct. 2, 2019, from 4 - 7 p.m. at Woodlawn Press Winery, located at 8733-B Cooper Rd, Alexandria, VA 22309.
This is a free community event that is sponsored by Burke & Herbert Bank, ECS, Fairfax County, Bean Kinney & Korman, Christopher Consultants, Federal Realty, Walsh Colucci Lubely & Walsh LLC., Finmarc Management Inc., Saul Centers, Pennoni, IDI Group, Womble Bond Dickinson, and the Dominion Foundation. This event will be catered by ColMoni's Catering at Frontier Kitchen.
Supervisors Jeff McKay and Dan Storck will help SFDC present the 18th annual Mary Thonen Beautification Awards, which honor the memory of Mary Thonen, a long serving board member and former president of SFDC. Awards will be presented to three properties that made outstanding efforts to improve and sustain their appearances through landscaping, in the categories of: Retail, Residential and Hospitality. Additionally, honorable mentions will be made to the runners-up in each category.
SFDC will also use the event to highlight two local businesses: Woodlawn Press Winery and ColMoni's Catering at Frontier Kitchen. SFDC is delighted to showcase Woodlawn Press Winery, which is new to the Richmond Highway area as of July 26, 2019. Furthermore, we are pleased to support ColMoni's Catering at Frontier Kitchen. Frontier Kitchen is a food business incubator for culinary entrepreneurs.
