It’s common for adults as well as young children to suffer from anxiety or fear when it comes time to see the dentist—particularly if there’s a cavity to be filled or other work to be done.
Dr. Mohammed Attia of the Alexandria Center of Dentistry is working hard to change that by becoming part of his patients’ “extended families.”
“Here, we really take the time to get to know our patients, and learn how we can take care of them in every way,” Dr. Attia said. “And I feel they can tell the difference – that we care about them and their health in general. We don’t just focus on the dentistry; we look at their overall health and the ‘big picture.’”
Thanks to his unique, personalized style of care, Dr. Attia said word-of-mouth ends up being the best form of marketing his practice could ever ask for. His practice in the Franconia neighborhood has grown every year.
“We think it’s important to form personal relationships with our clients. That’s why we don’t do much random marketing—we like to focus on personal referrals and welcoming our customers’ families and friends,” he said.
The reasons patients trust Dr. Attia with their dental care are similar to the reasons Dr. Attia and his staff at the Alexandria Center of Dentistry trust Chhaya Muth of Access National Bank with the practice’s finances.
“Chhaya and his team give us a lot of personal attention. I feel they want to form a relationship with me as well, and I really like that,” he said. “And I know they’re always going to be there for me for whatever I need, and they always offer a lot of options. They’re very supportive of our practice.”
Access National Bank’s approach to serving clients is the same approach Alexandria Center of Dentistry takes with their patients—getting to know them, figuring out what will make them better, and offering a variety of solutions to choose from to satisfy their needs.
In addition to year-round family dental care, Alexandria Center of Dentistry offers a wealth of specialty services, including being able to perform same-day CAT scans and design custom crowns in-house, treat sleep apnea, and offer Invisalign, cosmetic dentistry, dental implants, and more—all with the latest, cutting-edge technology.
“By offering the latest, top-notch treatments, we are able to give our clients the very best quality of care,” he said. “And, we make things very convenient for our clients, by being able to give them everything they need under one roof, so they don’t have to go to elsewhere and come back.”
Dr. Attia said, that’s yet another reason why Access National Bank fits in so well with his office’s style of doing business—by offering everything he needs in one place, Access National Bank’s full-service and tailored approach checks off every need on his practice’s list.
Originally from Egypt, Dr. Attia did residency programs in both Washington, D.C. and Charlotte, North Carolina before working for a few years in Virginia Beach, and eventually settling permanently in Alexandria—and he says he couldn’t be happier than he is having his practice here, where he has been for almost four years.
“It’s a great area for my business as well as my family, with such a great school system,” he said. His two children and his wife, Sally, love the area. His children attend local schools, and Sally helps run the practice’s office and assist clients with their dental insurance, making Alexandria Center of Dentistry a truly family-owned and operated business.
Dr. Attia said being an active member of the local business community is also important to him and his family. Since opening his practice here, Dr. Attia has served as the past president of the Virginia Academy of General Dentistry, and currently serves on the academy’s Council for Continuing Education.
