The National Breast Cancer Foundation’s 3rd annual Walk to Bust Cancer is Sunday, Oct. 14 at Fort Hunt Park in Alexandria.
The walk, organized by the Alexandria-based National Breast Center Foundation, is meant to increase awareness and celebrate survivorship of breast cancer.
In addition to the walk itself which starts at 9 a.m., the event will include music, a moon bounce, and dance and exercise exhibitions.
The National Breast Center Foundation’s mission is to improve the lives of women by removing barriers to getting proper screening, diagnosis, and education about breast cancer.
Registration for the walk is open now at www.walktobustcancer.org. (If you can’t walk, donations are also accepted.)
