With winter weather and the COVID-19 pandemic keeping most of us indoors, virtual experiences are one of the best ways to do this.
National magazine Travel + Leisure recently produced a video featuring fourth-generation Alexandrian and City Council member John Chapman, who owns Manumission Tour Company, as part of their “Walk with Travel + Leisure” video series. In the eight minute video, Chapman tells four amazing stories of enslaved people with an Alexandria connection who found their freedom through the Underground Railroad.
