The Torpedo Factory Artists’ Association (TFAA), a professional artist community with more than 275 members, has partnered with Carpenter’s Shelter to install art at the shelter’s temporary location in the former Macy’s at Landmark Mall.
TFAA member artists will create art installations for the site, install reproductions of artist works, and create art with shelter residents and children.
A reception and fundraiser will be held on Saturday, August 18th from 4 p.m. - 8 p.m. at Torpedo Factory Artists @ Mosaic to help raise funds for the collaborative project. The Mosaic District pop-up gallery is at 2905 District Avenue, Suite 115 in Fairfax.
Attendees will be able to view the art exhibit DIMENSIONS, meet artists, and participate in an interactive screen printing demonstration. Donations will be accepted on site, and 25% of all art sales made during the reception will go towards forthcoming Carpenter's Shelter art projects.
The reception is free to attend and open to the public, drinks and hors d'oeuvres will be served. For more information, go to torpedofactoryartists.com.
