NPPA is a network of local artists committed to painting weekly at organized “paint-outs.” Plein Air locations are chosen for their diversity in landscape and local geography, varying from parks to rustic farms, vineyards and urban settings.
River Farm, headquarters of the American Horticultural Society, is one of George Washington’s original five farms. It features 26-acres of formal and naturalistic gardens, including woodlands, a meadow and a children’s garden, nestled along the the Potomac River. These breathtaking views can be seen in many of NPPA’s art pieces.
