The Lee-Fendall House Museum & Garden will explore the history of a favorite summer treat -- ice cream.
Visitors will be able to try making ice cream the old fashioned way and taste it. In addition to ice-cream making, there will be interactive tours of the house throughout the day (10 a.m. to 4 p.m.).
Tickets are $2 for children ages 2 - 12 and $4 for adults. Advance tickets are encouraged and can be purchased though Eventbrite here.
The Lee-Fendall House Museum & Garden is an estate museum in Old Town Alexandria. The home was built in 1785 that was once home to many members of the Lee family, hundreds of Union soldiers during the Civil War, the Downham family and one of the country's most controversial and significant 20th century labor leaders, John L. Lewis.
The Lee-Fendall House is at 614 Oronoco Street in Alexandria.
