Farmers markets in the City of Alexandria may fully reopen as of July 4. Many had closed or were only open for curbside pick-up due to concerns about coronavirus.
This weekend, farmers' markets can start handling on-site transactions, on-site food preparation and non-food vendors.
Customers are strongly encouraged to wear face coverings and use pre-ordering and contactless payment options when available.
In addition, a new farmers market will be opening in August in the Carlyle neighborhood. More information will be available in the coming weeks.
