Have you ever wanted to ask George Washington what motivated him and other colonials to risk their lives for freedom? Would you enjoy a discussion of the issues that faced our country in its early days like independence, slavery, equality and imperialism?
The Alexandria George Washington Birthday Celebration Committee invites 25 guests to have an intimate, informal conversation with our First President, George Washington. The event will be held at the Landini Brothers Restaurant at 115 King St. on Saturday, Nov. 16 at 7:30 p.m.
Guests are invited to discuss topics of their choice with historical interpreter Brian Hilton. He brings over 20 years of experience to the role.Dinner will feature a traditional Tuscan-style menu including insalata, a choice of three entrées, and dessert. Wine and spirits may be purchased separately.
The George Washington Birthday Celebration Committee is an Alexandria based organization that works with local museums, historical societies, businesses and citizens to support GeorgeWashington-themed events each February and throughout the year.
Tickets for the event are $125 per person and are expected to sell out quickly.
