The historic Carlyle House is hosting a unique whiskey tasting and evening tour this Saturday.
Unique and extraordinary whiskeys will be paired with food, harkening back to the days in the late 1800s when the Mansion House Hotel stood on the property.
The event on Saturday, Sept. 29 includes an evening tour of the Carlyle House, four whiskeys, and heavy hors d’oeuvres.
Local historian Rich Gillespie will share stories of historic Virginia and guide attendees on a whiskey tasting journey.

The Carlyle House Historic Park is home to an eighteenth-century historic house museum. The stone mansion was built by John Carlyle, one of Alexandria's founders.
