Foodies will delight in the 10th Annual Taste of Del Ray which is coming up Sunday, June 3 from 1-3 p.m. A number of area restaurants are participating in this fun and savory outdoor competition. You'll get a chance to enjoy a culinary sneak peek of upcoming Del Ray restaurants while enjoying new dishes from old favorites.
Ticket-holders will enjoy unlimited tastes from top Del Ray restaurants and you will also be able to cast your vote for the People's Choice award. The event is taking place at the Pat Miller Neighborhood Square and the parking lot behind United Bank (located at Mount Vernon Avenue and Oxford Avenue).
Participating restaurants so far include: Cheesetique, Evening Star Cafe, Junction Bakery & Bistro, KAiZEN Tavern, Lena's Wood-Fired Pizza and Tap, Live Oak Restaurant, Los Tios, Nectar Coffee and Wine Bistro, Northside 10, Pork Barrel BBQ, Snack Bar, St. Elmo's Coffee Pub/Market 2 Market, Stomping Ground, Swings Coffee, Taqueria Poblano, and The Happy Tart.
Advance tickets are available online for $15 per adult and $5 for children under 12 years of age. Those reserving tickets online must check-in at the will-call booth, which will open at 12 noon; gates for the event open at 1 p.m.
If you prefer to purchase tickets in person, they are $10 for adults and $5 for children under 12 years of age, and available for sale at The Neighborhood Pharmacy of Del Ray (2204 Mt Vernon Ave.), The Greener Cleaner of Del Ray (2210 Mt Vernon Ave.), and at the Del Ray Farmers' Market (Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 12 noon).
Day-of ticket sales will begin at 12 noon if available; please note that only 1,000 tickets will be sold. Taste of Del Ray has sold out during pre-sales in the past.
