T-ZO, a new Vietnamese restaurant, is opening on Dow Avenue in Alexandria’s West End.
The restaurant will be on the back side of Modera Tempo residences, next to the former Portner Brewhouse. The space was formerly occupied by Smashburger. Dow Avenue is near the intersection of South Van Dorn and Pickett streets.
The new Vietnamese restaurant does not have a website or active social media accounts, but signs up at the location say it will feature “a taste of the Vietnamese cultural richness.
Restaurants have struggled in that retail zone since it opened. Yelp and other online forums included frequent complaints about parking for both Smashburger and Portner Brewhouse, with parking hidden from street view.
