A restaurant incubator that features food to-go from up-and-coming local chefs just opened on Pendleton Street in Alexandria.
Operating out of a small, one-story building, Pendleton Carryout Co., at 807 Pendleton St., will have a variety of selections from food trucks, start-up restaurants and established restaurants that want to test out new dishes.
The first two chefs specialize in pizza (from Chef Ed McIntosh of the soon-to-open Chop Shop Taco) and dumplings (from Chef Patrick Coyne of Sliced and Laoban Dumplings).
"We are an incubator and accelerator for emerging culinary concepts and a "test market" opportunity for established brands who are considering a home in Virginia. We have an exciting rotation of 3 to 4 different food concepts bringing their own flavor and style to your table via carry-out or delivery," according to the venue's website.
Pendleton Carryout Co., Alexandria’s new restaurant incubator with to-go fare from rising chefs, opened on Thursday, October 4 with offerings from a pizza shop and dumpling house.
Pendleton Carryout Co. is open daily from noon to 9 p.m.
Hungry residents can order online from a variety of outlets and delivery services, including Grubhub, Doordash and Chow Now.
