Bittersweet Catering at 103 N. Alfred St. in Old Town Alexandria will make way for a new business — a restaurant with new owners, serving up craft sandwiches and cocktails, according to paperwork filed with the City. No timeline was mentioned in the application.
Indoor and outdoor seating is planned for the new restaurant, called The People's Drug. Renovations call for the addition of two restrooms as well as updating of the interior and the addition of some new kitchen equipment.
Proposed hours for The People's Drug are 7:30 a.m. to midnight.
The new owner is Av Resto Group, LLC. Partners include Teddy Kim, a principal at Mason Social and Seth W. McClelland.
Bittersweet will continue at 103 1/2 N. Alfred St.
The City planning department approved the application Oct. 18.
