Velma's Favorite Season

Velma is looking for her forever home this fall.

What’s Velma’s favorite time of year?  Why, fall of course! And she’d be happy to count the reasons.

  1. Sweater season:  It can get a bit chilly being a small dog with a short coat, but in the fall, Velma can show off a wide range of fashion, from spooky sweaters to fun fleeces, pastels, prints and everything in between.  If you’re into haute couture, then she’s the pint-sized icon for you!
  1. Perfect walk weather: When Velma wakes up in the morning, she is ready to go go go, and the temperature on fall mornings are great for walks.  While she has a condition called medially luxating patellas, causing her kneecaps to shift in her back legs, she doesn’t let it show her down when it’s time to exercise or play.
  2. Halloween: What is Velma looking for this Halloween?  Her own Scooby gang, to solve mysteries and just generally enjoy the spooky season.  In fact, Velma’s getting a head start on Halloween with the AWLA’s Howl-O-Ween, taking place tomorrow, Oct. 26, from 2 to 4 p.m. at Riverside Taco Company.  Stop by to meet Velma (unless she’s adopted first) or come by with your own costumed canine -- you can pre-register online or register in person on Saturday.
