The Board Hound is opening a second location.
The Board Hound has been open since 2013 near Shirlington, offering doggie daycare, overnight boarding for pets with 24-hour staffing, and baths and nail trims.
The company's second location will be at 133 S. Peyton St. in Old Town Alexandria and it will open sometime in July. The Board Hound has been posting photos of their new, 4,000 sq. ft. facility near the King Street Metro on their Facebook page.
The Board Hound focuses on safety for animals, with a 1:10 staff:dog ratio for daycare and 24-hour staffing for overnight guests.
"We understand that not all dogs are the same so we match energy levels, comfort levels, and play styles to create the perfect playgroup with each dog in mind. These playgroups are continuously adjusted as the dynamics fluctuate thought the day to ensure that all the dogs stay safe, happy, and healthy," according to the company's website.
Pet parents can pre-register their dogs for the Old Town location at the Shirlington location, which is at 3520 S. Four Mile Run Dr. Dogs can be evaluated for the Old Town daycare in Shirlington.
