Peach the turtle.
Princess Peach is turtle royalty.
At 7 years old, she rules the roost at the Animal Welfare League of Alexandria, but she is a benevolent ruler. As long as her subjects provide her a large comfortable space to swim in and some yummy treats, she is a happy regent. She even works on training her subjects by teaching them to use a target stick (a pole with a metal ball on the end) and then touching the stick so they know to give her treats. What a generous princess!
While Princess Peach is an indoor turtle who prefers to spend much of her time swimming, she deigned to join us for a sylvan photo shoot where she was a fairy tale princess, complete with crown. And we have to admit, she looks quite majestic!
Because of her size, Princess Peach would like an aquarium that can accommodate at least 90 gallons of water, and that offers her a space where she can rest and bask in the light.
