No worries — Alexandria pet owners will still be able to get all the great items from Natures Nibbles. But the process may be a bit different.
Natures Nibbles in Del Ray, after 16 years in business, will be shifting its operations online. The Hollin Hall physical retail location, at 7910 Fort Hunt Rd., will remain open.
Natures Nibbles owners Chris and Anne Gabriel started feeding their own dog natural, human-grade food and saw a major improvement in the dog's health. The store they were purchasing the food from was closing, so they opened their own store — first online, and then in 2007 a storefront in Del Ray.
"Most customers typically just want a better-quality diet for their pets, but I do get many customers looking for an alternate answer to their pet’s health issues. Many times, Nature’s Nibbles is a pet owner’s last resort to help resolve certain maladies," Chris Gabriel told Alexandria Living Magazine in a 2019 interview.
The Del Ray store will be open through Saturday, Nov. 26 before transitioning entirely online with delivery available and free consultations with Chris Gabriel.
