With Virginia now in Phase 3 of the Forward Virginia timeline, the Animal Welfare League of Alexandria (AWLA) is excited to once again invite visitors to the Vola Lawson Animal Shelter, while making sure they continue to maintain the safety of guests and staff.
For this reason, the AWLA will now be offering in-person animal meet-and-greets BY APPOINTMENT ONLY beginning Sunday, July 5, in addition to their Virtual Meet-and-Greet process. Set up some time to meet with animals like Marshmallow. This 3-year-old pit bull mix has boundless energy and a grin to match! Marshmallow loves to be on the move, whether walking, hiking or running around the yard, maybe with one of his favorite toys to keep him company.
This clever pup has mastered sit and is looking for someone to keep his mind as active as his body with training and new hobbies. If you're willing to bring some treats into the mix, he'll be especially excited to learn some new tricks.
Marshmallow's perfect day would include a serenade with his favorite squeaky toy du jour, followed by an outdoor adventure, a bit of training and an extra-long snuggle - well deserved after such a busy day!
