As an open adoption facility, the Animal Welfare League of Alexandria sees more than just dogs and cats; they take in all types of animals brought it from across the city. Meet a few of the AWLA's smaller -- but no less furry -- residents:
17-month-old Flemish Giant Coel really lives up to his name; he is one big bunny. We're not sure Coel understands that he's a rabbit since he loves to hang out with dogs, but he's a pretty smart guy; he even knows some tricks, like nose boops when he hears his name!
Best piggy pals Ronald (brown) and Harry (black and white) — see photo below — are a dynamic duo who love to do everything together, including snacking on veggies, digging through their bedding and finding their new family. Could it be you?
Beautiful Sierra does a pretty good impression of a bowling ball (with ears!) But when she's out of the limelight, this girl's all fun and play. In no time, she'll be bounding around your house, her bowling ball huddle a thing of the past!
All of these amazing animals are available now through the AWLA's no-contact Virtual Adoption process. Check them out (along with their dog and cat friends) on the AWLA's website, and sign up for your virtual appointment today.
Please note that meeting slots are available 3 days in advance and fill up quickly, so if you don’t see any times when you first look, it means they are all booked; please continue to check back on the scheduling page for more available appointment times.
