A dog checks out the offerings at Brewski's Barkhaus in Alexandria, the first pet-friendly bar/restaurant with a dog park.
Alexandria's innovative Barkhaus, a combination bar and doggie play park in Del Ray, will become a part of the Bark Social family.
The Washington Business Journal first reported the agreement, which will turn the Barkhaus into Bark Social's fourth location.
Bark Social calls itself "the dog-lovingest place on the planet." The company has locations already in Bethesda, Baltimore and Philadelphia, Alexandria would be its first location in Northern Virginia.
The Bethesda location offers a variety of beer and wine, coffee and snacks. The new company plans to take full advantage of Barkhaus' kitchen to expand its menu.
