Tupac, the 2022 Animal of the Year, AWLA Calendar Contest
One of Alexandria's most popular photo contests launched Wednesday. Registration opened at 8 a.m. Wednesday, June 1 for the Animal Welfare League of Alexandria's 2023 photo calendar contest.
The calendar is one of the organization's biggest fundraisers. Registration and more information is available at www.gogophotocontest.com/pictureyourselfie.
AWLA released the following 5 reasons to participate:
- Every pet photo is included in the calendar, and every registrant gets a free calendar.
- You can win great prizes, including a professional photo shoot package for your pet.
- Early birds get...FREE votes. The first 15 registrants will earn 100 free votes automatically (courtesy of our friends at the Caudron Megary Blackburn Wealth Management Group).*
- Every vote, registration or calendar purchase helps animals in need across your community, as well as the people who love them.
- Your pet could be named Animal of the Year and even be highlighted on buses throughout Northern Virginia.
Last year, Tupac the cat was named Animal of the Year in the photo contest.
