Animal Welfare League of Alexandria (AWLA)
Some of our cats benefit from a home environment to show their true colors, and 3-year-old tortoiseshell Julie is certainly one of those kitties.
Initially shy at the shelter, she’s been staying with some of the AWLA’s amazing foster caregivers, and the difference is plain to see. She’s showing off her adventurous side, coming out of her cat tree to play with the wand toy or laser pointer, and is even comfortable being pet by those she knows.
Julie would prefer to live in an adults-only home where she can continue to come out of her shell and become the stealthy mini-tiger she knows she is at heart. And in the meantime, she promises to keep her new family entertained by engaging them in one of the many pastimes she’s picked up in foster care.
Thanks to a generous donor, Julie’s adoption fees have already been paid, so if you’re interested in learning more or scheduling a time to meet her, please call the AWLA at 703-746-4774 or email adoptions@alexandriaanimals.org.
