When times feel uncertain, it's common for people to seek understanding and a path forward.
In Del Ray, that's when people visit Tracey L. Rogers.
Originally from Philadelphia, Rogers says she’s an “astrologer at heart” and has been studying it for more than 20 years. (She’s a Leo.)
In addition to astrology, she’s a certified life coach whose mission is to “empower you to live an empowered life.”
Rogers explains, “Astrology is a wonderful tool that can lead you to discover who you are, while life coaching is a wonderful tool that can lead you to create the life you want.”
She did this herself when she moved to the D.C. area in 2004. Rogers started practicing astrology in 2011, and in 2015 set up shop in Del Ray, where you can find her today pursuing her passion for providing astrology and life coaching services.
Astrology runs in her family — she learned how to read birth charts as a child. After providing astrology services, clients were naturally curious about how their reading would impact their lives, so she got certified as a life coach. She is now featured on the Russ Parr Morning Show on 102.3 or 92.7 FM.
Whether you’re skeptical or not, expect to have Tracey meet you where you are in your knowledge of astrology. In other words, you don’t even have to know your astrological sign to start.
Most often, she says, people expect that she’s a psychic. (She's not.) Instead, she suggests clients use astrology as a roadmap, using the astrological information as a guide or “roadmap” if you’re stuck in certain areas of your life.
As for 2018, Tracey believes this Chinese Year of the Dog will result in a “temperature spike” in terms of our political climate. For individuals, it will be a year to either make significant changes or risk getting stuck in comfort. 2018 means no longer tolerating things that inhibit growth — otherwise, expect to be a victim of your circumstances.
While most people associate astrology with a daily or weekly horoscope, astrology is much deeper. “Astrology is the belief that the alignment of stars and planets affects every individual's mood, personality, and environment, depending on when he was born,” according to Dr. Christopher Baird of West Texas A&M University, who has written extensively on whether astrology “works.” Many people are skeptical of the science behind astrology, but Yelp reviews of Rogers’s services are overwhelmingly positive.
Rogers offers a variety of packages combining astrology and life coaching services. Tracey also provides horoscopes via a free, weekly email newsletter. If you’re curious, visit www.traceylrogers.com.
