The Alexandria area’s public outdoor pools open Memorial Day weekend, including those near Del Ray, Old Town, Gum Springs and beyond.

Warwick Pool
The pool complex at 3301 Landover Street includes a six-lane, 25-yard lap pool with an accessible ramp entry. Water depths now range from zero to five feet. There is also a bathhouse, lockers and other amenities.

Memorial Pool at Charles Houston Rec Center
The Memorial Pool at Charles Houston Recreation Center has a beach-style entry and spray features great for young children and adults who wish to get therapeutic benefits.

Old Town Pool
The eight-land, 25-yard lap pool and diving well and accessible training pool (up to 3 feet) is at 1609 Cameron St. The site also includes a picnic area and tot playground.

Great Waves Waterpark
This Northern Virginia Regional Park Authority waterpark at Cameron Run includes several slides, a wave pool and other recreation opportunities (mini golf, batting cages, etc.).

Martin Luther King, Jr. Pool
This pool in the Gum Springs neighborhood is operated by the Fairfax County Park Authority and includes two slides and a wading pool for children. Admission is free.

Our Special Harbor Spray Park
The Lee District Rec Center features a fully accessible Chesapeake Bay-themed splash pad for children (and their parents). Aquatic shoes or sandals with a back strap (no flip flops!) are required and can be purchased on site.

Kingstowne Pools
The two pools in Kingstowne are only open to Kingstowne residents and their guests, as they are operated by the Kingstowne Residential Owners Corp. Both pools have diving areas, a designated lap lane and a separate wading pool. Information about hours, parties and guest passes is available through the KROC website (link below).
