The Romano's Macaroni Grill in Kingstowne may be closing, according to reports.
The Washington Business Journal revealed that Lazy Dog, is angling for the property. The current building would be razed and replaced with a new restaurant building.
However, a spokesperson for Romano's Macaroni Grill would not confirm any information when contacted by Fairfax Now.
Romano's Macaroni Grill is owned by Redrock Partners in partnership with a special purpose acquisition group RMG Acquisition Company. There are Romano's Macaroni Grill restaurants in 14 states nationwide, but the Kingstowne location is the only one in Virginia.
Lazy Dog was founded in California but inspired by the Rocky Mountains. "I've always wanted to find a way to share that small mountain town vibe. Inspired by unplanned adventures, an enduring love of food and fireside conversations, Lazy Dog was created to do just that," according to founder Chris Simms.
In addition to multiple locations in California, Lazy Dog has restaurants in eight other states, including Virginia. It serves a variety of American food, comfort food (including frozen TV dinners to take home), bowls, noodles, salads and more.
If you want to try Lazy Dog, there are locations open in Chantilly and in Fairfax. Learn more about Lazy Dog at https://www.lazydogrestaurants.com.
