Alexandria-based nonprofit ZERO — The End of Prostate Cancer was ranked among the top nonprofit organizations to work for by Nonprofit Times. It is the fifth year ZERO has made the list, and this year it jumped four spots, landing at no. 6.
Training, communication, confidence in leadership, and fun at work were factors that made up this year’s rankings.
ZERO is dedicated to ending prostate cancer, and offers patient support programs, educational programs and advocates to protect research funding.
“We are thrilled to be ranked as one of the best nonprofits to work for for the fifth consecutive year,” said ZERO CEO Jamie Bearse, who has been with the organization for more than 15 years. “This ranking is a testament to our dedicated staff, whose passion for working on behalf of men battling prostate cancer is unrivaled."
