Community Lodgings on Elbert Ave.
Community Lodgings on Elbert Avenue in the Arlandria neighborhood could be razed and replaced with a 91-unit affordable housing development.
City Council on Saturday will host a public hearing and a final vote regarding the property at 3908 Elbert Ave. to allow for the redevelopment.
Community Lodgings is a 29-unit residential housing development designated as affordable housing and owned by Community Lodgings, Inc., a nonprofit organization.
The new development would have 91 units in the 70-foot-tall building, and all of them will be affordable for people earning 30% to 60% of the area’s median income.
The property is surrounded by townhomes and garden-style apartments buildings up to four stories.
