Healthy Families Alexandria is celebrating its 25th year serving Alexandria families and promoting healthy child development.
HFA has served nearly 6,000 families in the past 25 years, providing parents with key guidance and support to nurture and encourage their children in their earliest years, and connecting families to resources in the community.
A program of Northern Virginia Family Services, HFA promotes healthy child development through a series of free services available to expectant and young families in the City of Alexandria.
Its home-visiting program has the mission to promote child well-being and prevent abuse and neglect. HFA also screens children for developmental delays and behavioral disabilities, helps keep children up-to-date on immunizations and more.
