A new art gallery, frame shop and photography studio is opening at 7918 Fort Hunt Rd. in the Hollin Hall shopping center. Nepenthe Gallery will celebrate its grand opening on March 10 from 6 p.m.-8 p.m.

According to the gallery’s website, Nepenthe Gallery will feature art work from “ a broad range of art from local, emerging and established artists.” It will also have a custom frame shop and will include studio space for photographer Renée C. Gage.
“Renée is known for preserving life’s rich beauty and capturing the little moments that mean the most with elegance and eloquence. She is thrilled to be a part of Nepenthe Gallery as it brings a new light, creative presence and community space to her beloved community,” Gage’s website reads.
Nepenthe Gallery is located right next to Hollin Hall Pastry Shop. It will join a number of new businesses that have opened in the shopping center in the past few years including Nature’s Nibbles and Urban Redeux and alongside established stores and restaurants like Hollin Hall Variety Store, Village Hardware and Roseina’s among many others.
