Dockless scooters are spreading to Fairfax County.
Fairfax County’s Department of Cable and Consumer Services recently decided to allow two companies to place a combined 600 electric scooters in Fairfax County.
The scooters are divided between LINK and Bird. They will have a speed limit of just 10 mph. The scooters can be used on roads, sidewalks, paths and in crosswalks, according to Fairfax County officials.
