The City of Alexandria has launched an online feedback form to collect community input on walking, biking, and driving conditions along King Street near the Bradlee Shopping Center.
The feedback will inform work on the City’s King Street – Bradlee Safety and Mobility Enhancements Project, which the city says is "aimed at making it safer to travel through this commercial corridor." Residents are asked to complete the online feedback form by October 20.
"This portion of King Street was identified for multimodal improvements in the City's 2021 adopted Alexandria Mobility Plan and is a priority location to install enhanced bicycle facilities and additional sidewalks to complete gaps in the City's existing bicycle and sidewalk network," according to the city's webpage on the project.
The area under consideration is the King Street main road and the parallel access road from North Quaker Lane to Menokin Drive. There will be no design changes to the multi-way intersection of North Quaker Lane, King Street and West Braddock Road.
