ACT for Alexandria
Spring2ACTion, Alexandria’s Day of Giving, will be April 29, 2020, ACT for Alexandria announced.
The annual event raises millions for local nonprofit organizations and community groups that serve in and around Alexandria.
Last year, Spring2ACTion raised a record $2.04 million, surpassing $2 million in community giving for the first time. According to GiveGab, the tech company that powered the Day of Giving online fundraising platform for ACT for Alexandria, Alexandria has one of the most successful giving days in the country with some of the most generous donors.
Nonprofit registration will start in January 2020.
Participating nonprofits represent a wide variety of causes, including health and wellness, food and shelter, arts and music, schools and PTAs, children and families, veteran’s programs, animal rescue and more.
