With the cancellation of many Old Town holiday events like the Scottish Walk and the boat parade, Alexandria has had to get a little more creative when it comes to safe ways to celebrate the holiday season.
Dec. 5 marked the official kick-off of the first Old Town Holiday Lamp Post Art Walk sponsored by the Old Town Business Association in partnership with The Art League and the The Torpedo Factory Office Building. Now through Jan. 8, you can view the festive artwork of 25 local artists on select lamp posts along King Street and various side streets in Old Town. The art can be seen at the following locations or plan your walk using the official map here.
- 100-1800 blocks of King Street
- 300 block of Cameron Street
- 100 block of South Union Street
- 100 block of South Fairfax Street
- 100 block of South Royal Street
