Management for Get Air Trampoline Park, an indoor recreation and amusement park, confirmed that the Alexandria location is scheduled to open in the second half of December.
The space Get Air is occupying at 340 S. Pickett St. was formerly a U.S. Post Office in the West End Village shopping center.
Other shopping center tenants include the relocated Post Office, a Home Depot, a mattress store and restaurants.
Get Air is a Utah-based company with trampoline park locations nationwide and overseas.
The Alexandria location will be the company’s first location in Virginia.
Get Air locations are a popular place for parties and events. They feature wall-to-wall trampolines, foam pits, dodgeball, slamball, obstacle courses and party rooms.
Some locations also feature fitness classes, black light nights, DJ nights and “toddler times” for families with young children.
Doyle's Outpost, a laser tag facility, arcade and sports bar, is opening in the West End in mid-December, as well.
