Wesley Housing
The Arden at the Huntington Metro Station
The Fairfax County Redevelopment and Housing Authority (FCRHA) with Wesley Housing has closed on a $59 million housing project just one block away from the Huntington Metro Station.
The project will bring affordable housing options to the area.
The Arden will be a two-building multifamily development at the intersection of Huntington Avenue and Biscayne Drive. It will include studio, one, two and three-bedroom units with almost all of the homes serving households earning 60 percent or less of the Area Median Income. That equates to roughly $75,600 or less per year for a family of four.
The project will also include 7,500 square-feet of office space that will serve as the new location of Wesley Housing’s main offices.
There are three existing buildings on the site now that will be demolished.
Wesley Housing plans to start work on the site soon and complete the project in the summer of 2022. Wesley Housing will begin to accept rental application from the public and referrals from individuals coming from the FCRHA waiting list closer to when the development opens.
