This spring, a new facility dedicated to mental health care for younger residents opened in the Hybla Valley area.
The Growth & Healing HUB (at 7686 Richmond Hwy. in the Mount Vernon Plaza shopping center) is led by Felicea Meyer-DeLoatch. She had a 30-year career in Fairfax County Public Schools.
The Growth & Healing HUB will be focused on youth needs and family services.
"I am especially pleased that the HUB has committed to not turn away anyone who is seeking help, even if they cannot afford it," wrote Mount Vernon District Supervisor Dan Storck in an email to residents. "The HUB will be working with County and community agencies such as schools and non-profits, to address the mental health equity gaps. Services available at the HUB include Individual & Family Counseling, Medication Management, Group Counseling, Teletherapy, In-Home Services, Client-Centered and Strength-Based Focus and more."
Residents can make an appointment by calling 703-901-4015 or emailing info@gandh.org.
