Yunnan by Potomac has found a new home, but it's not in Alexandria.
The award-winning restaurant will be moving from its current home in the Montgomery Center in Old Town North to Pentagon City. ARLNow.com first reported it will open along 15th Street South in Arlington's Pentagon City neighborhood in early 2024.
Yunnan by Potomac opened in 2019 and has had very positive reviews, even through the pandemic.
The restaurant (and several other businesses) must find new homes by mid-2024 as the The Carr Companies, which owns the building, plans to replace the commercial building with 360 residential units, retail and arts components and a parking garage.
"Yunnan By Potomac Noodle House strives to be an ambassador for the people and culture of Southwest China and add to the story of what it means to be Chinese-American through our lens on contemporary Yunnan cuisine," the restaurant notes on its website.
Until the Arlington location opens, the restaurant will continue operating in Old Town North at 814 N. Fairfax St.
