Wegmans will be focusing more on fast, casual, grab-and-go food and eliminating its restaurants in its stores.
The Wegmans location on Telegraph Road in the Alexandria area was one of just a dozen Wegmans Pubs nationwide.
The sit-down restaurant included a variety of American and other fare, all cooked with Wegmans food.
“We are focused on applying our culinary expertise to the increasing demand for fast, casual meal solutions available in our stores, for pickup, and through delivery,” Wegmans spokeswoman Marcie Rivera told the Richmond Times Dispatch.
