Tropical Smoothie Cafe has opened at Bradlee Shopping Center, replacing a spot formerly occupied by B&C Jewelers, which was a staple at the center for decades before closing.
The cafe is located at 3610-G King St., in Alexandria, sandwiched between SunTrust Bank and Duck Donuts.
Cafe hours are 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. weekdays, 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturdays and 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sundays.
The cafe menu includes flatbreads, quesadillas, wraps, sandwiches, bowls and breakfast items and, of course, smoothies. Calorie counts and ingredients can be found on the website.
Fans of the eatery can skip lines by ordering ahead online and download the rewards app to get points for free smoothies and more.
Some of the most popular smoothies include Sunrise Sunset (a mixture of strawberries, pineapple, mango and orange juice); Island Green (spinach, kale, mango, pineapple and banana) and Acai Berry Boost (açaí, pomegranate, bananas, blueberries and strawberries).
There are several Tropical Smoothie Cafes located in the Alexandria area, including at Potomac Greens, Belle View Shopping Center and Pinecrest Plaza.
