The Halal Guys is opening its first Alexandria restaurant on June 29 -- and someone will win a Samsung 50-inch Ultra HD 4K smart television.
The restaurant is also giving away Apple wireless charging Airpods, an Apple Watch and free Halal Guys food for a month.
The first 100 guests in line will also get a free meal.
The Halal Guys is opening at 3167 Duke Street in the Alexandria Commons Shopping Center Saturday, June 29 at 11 a.m.
The menu features chicken, gyros, hummus, falafel, baba ganouj and more. The meats are halal-certified.
The Halal Guys is a nationwide chain with several locations in Northern Virginia. Current locations include West Springfield, Tysons, Dunn Loring and Fairfax.
The Halal Guys started in 1990 as a hot dog cart on West 53rd and 6th Avenue in New York City. “As business grew, they recognized a huge demand from Muslim cab drivers looking for a halal food meal,” according to the company’s website.
