Kitchen store Sur La Table will be closing its Alexandria store.
The company declared bankruptcy earlier this year and more than half of the company's 121 stores are closing in the coming months.
Sur La Table offers kitchen and housewares and a variety of cooking classes, The company started in Seattle's Pike Place Market in 1972.
The Old Town Alexandria store at 326 King Street (across from City Hall) will close at the end of September, with increasing sales and discounts throughout this month.
The Sur La Table location at Pentagon City Remains open; the Chevy Chase location in the District is closed.
