A weekend beer garden is open in Alexandria this summer thanks to a partnership between a local brewing company and a local hotel restaurant.
Alexandria's Port City Brewing has teamed up with The Alexandrian hotel restaurant Jackson 20 to open a beer garden.
New seasonal brews will be featured each Sunday in June from 4 to 7 p.m. during the monthlong beer garden, which will be located in the rear outdoor courtyard at The Alexandrian at 480 King St.
The beer garden launch is part of Port City Brewing's Pride Month celebration; the brewing company has partnered with the Alexandria-Arlington Gay and Lesbian Alliance to celebrate LGBTQ diversity in the city of Alexandria and has events throughout the month.
The hotel is part of Marriott's The Autograph Collection, which describes itself as "celebrating boutique hotels that are unique in design and thoughtful in spirit."
The award-winning Port City Brewing earned the national title as the Small Brewing Company of the Year in 2015 at the Great American Beer Festival.
