The former Bombay Curry Co. restaurant in Del Ray.
A new restaurant, Spice Kraft Indian Bistro, may open in the space formerly occupied by the Bombay Curry Co. in Alexandria’s Del Ray neighborhood.
Sanjjar Oyuntsetseg of Roanoke is taking over the space. She is currently owner of The Elephant Walk restaurant in Roanoke, which has been a staple there for 30 years. The Elephant Walk serves American food.
Alexandria officials are considering a special use permit for a change of ownership and name at the former Bombay Curry Co. restaurant at 2607 Mount Vernon Ave.
The permit application states there will be no substantial changes to the menu, venue or hours. There are no renovations planned for the restaurant.
No opening date has been announced yet.
