Smoothie King is opening a new smoothie shop in Southeast Fairfax County.
The shop will be one of the ground floor retail tenants at the Belvoir Square apartments at 9142 Richmond Highway near the intersection of Richmond Highway and the Fairfax County Parkway.
It will open before the end of this year, according to Smoothie King.
Smoothie King has a menu of options that are purpose-driven — customers can order based on their fitness or wellness goals in addition to their taste buds. Their smoothies are made without artificial preservatives, flavors, colors or ingredients on what they call a "no no" list that includes nearly 50 items such as high fructose corn syrup and tertiary butylhydroquinone.
There are several Smoothie King locations in the DC metro area. The closest are in Arlington, Fairfax City and near Lake Ridge.
