Alexandria's own taco trailer is reopening for business on April 5.
Alexandrias Restaurant Partner's Riverside Taco Co., which operates out of an Airstream trailer near the Torpedo Factory in Old Town, opened last year.
Riverside Taco Co.’s menu includes an assortment of appetizers, bowls, tacos and sides, along with margaritas, beer and soda.
Chef Santiago Lopez, who hails from Bogota, Colombia, created the menu for Alexandria Restaurant Partners.
Riverside Taco Co. this winter applied for a permit to host live acoustic music acts along the waterfront.
Before you hit up the taco trailer, Vola's Dockside Grill — another Alexandria Restaurant Partners venue just a few feet away — is hosting its Spring Oysterfest outdoors at Riverside Taco Co.
On Saturday, April 4 from noon to 3 p.m., the semiannual Oysterfest will include fresh shucked oysters*, fried and broiled oysters, peel & eat shrimp, Vola's famous house-made chips, and more, plus beer, cocktails and wine. Tickets are $50 for unlimited food. Try your hand at the oyster shucking contest, too.
