Pendleton Carryout Co. has added scratch-made biscuits from Freed’s Biscuit Company and soup from 100 Bowls to its offerings this fall.
Pendleton Carryout Co. is a restaurant incubator that features food to-go from up-and-coming local chefs. It opened in the fall of 2018 on Pendleton Street in Old Town Alexandria.
Josh Freed’s biscuits have gained a cult-like following throughout Virginia. Before now, Freed’s biscuits could only be found at the Warrenton Farmers Market and restaurants in and around Warrenton, about 50 miles west of Alexandria.
Freed’s Biscuit Company will serve its classic buttermilk biscuit with maple butter, the jalapeno cheddar biscuit and other unique flavors. Beyond biscuits, Freed’s plans to serve biscuit sandwiches Friday through Sunday from 8 a.m. to noon. More information is available at Pendleton Carryout Company’s website at www.pendletoncarryoutco.com.
100 Bowls, based in Herndon, will be joining the line-up with fresh, nourishing and from- scratch soups. Soup lovers can expect hearty plant-based meals for lunch and dinner, including a gluten-free, dairy-free option.
