Hot Catfish Sandwich
A new fresh seafood restaurant opened this week in Alexandria.
Catch On The Avenue opened its doors Wednesday in Del Ray, at 2419 Mount Vernon Ave.
"Extremely excited to announce the opening of our 3rd restaurant from Common Plate Hospitality, Catch On The Ave. Coming to Del Ray, Wednesday this coming week! Come check us out on the Ave.," Chris Glover said the weekend before opening.
In addition to lunch, dinner and brunch menus, Catch on the Ave will open with a “Build Your Own Bento” kid’s menu including an edamame starter with a choice of protein and three sides.
The regular menu includes classics such as beer battered cod and chips and pecan-crusted mahi, smoked trout deviled eggs, hot catfish sandwich and much more.

Catch on the Ave will be open Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. to midnight and Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. to midnight.
In addition to Catch on the Avenue and Mason Social, located at 728 N. Henry St., other eateries associated with Common Plate Hospitality include Augie's Mussel House at 1106 King St. and Urbano 116, opening soon at 116 King St.
Asana Partners of Charlotte, N.C. owns 116 King St. (Urbano 116) and 1106 King St. (Augie’s Mussel House) and is working with Common Plate Hospitality to bring their vision to life. Asana has spent more than $100 million purchasing buildings in Old Town and is working with local brokers KLNB as well as architect Paul Beckmann, builder Murray Bonitt and Advanced Construction Group.
